5 Summer Drinks to Detox Your Body

Summer is always the ideal time to lose weight, it’s so hot that you don’t even feel like eating half the time. That’s when summer drinks help us keep our cool and shed off those extra kilos. It is essential that you keep hydrated in the summer, and honestly, since water does get boring sometimes, detox waters help in continuing your diet and keeping you healthy all summer.



1. Homemade Detox Lemonade Cleanse

This easy and delicious spin on the Master Cleanse drink tastes great and is easy to make as well. Lemon boosts weight loss and also helps in rejuvenating your skin.

All you need to do is combine ¼ cup lemon juice, ½ tablespoons honey, and a pinch of cayenne, and ground ginger in a mug with 1 cup hot water. Stir well to combine as much as possible.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar Drink

ACV has recently gained a good reputation for aiding weight loss. It also helps in increasing energy levels, improving your skin, and lowering blood pressure.

Just mix 1 tablespoon of ACV, ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon, a cup of water, a little bit of honey, a pinch of cayenne, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice in a glass and drink it before bed and in the morning.

3. Cucumber Mint Detox:

Another great summery delight! Mint is very good to regulate any irregularities in your stomach by speeding the digestion process. Similarly, cucumbers and lemons are good antioxidants to rid your body of all those messy toxins.

Simple blend one cucumber, 10 mint leaves and 1 cup of water then blend it and strain it. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and drink with ice!

4. Detox Turmeric Tea

Just add a little bit of turmeric to your green tea to make it the perfect combination of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients thereby improving immunity by boosting liver function.

5. Golden Milk

The drink is traditionally made as milk and heated up, but it can also be added to meals, pastes, teas, and soups. Its many ingredients are beneficial in different ways for the human body.

Take the following ingredients, mix them all up in a saucepan, and heat the mixture up for 5 minutes.

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • A small piece of fresh ginger root, peeled and minced
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 2 cups of coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • Half a teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
