Sick of always having to pay for takeout? It’s probably better if you do some meal prep and stock your freezers with some of these simple dishes so that you can have a home-cooked meal at any time. To stick to healthier options, it’s better to defrost most things in the oven rather than frying them.

Breakfast Bagels:

Bagels can be stored in the freezer for a long time, so it only makes sense to prepare them beforehand and store them for mealtimes. Pop them in the oven and they’re good to go!

Slow-Cooker Shredded Chicken:

Defrost your chicken whenever you need it for sandwiches, bagels, pasta, spring rolls or more!

 

Meatloaf:

Meatloaf is an entire meal in itself and stays together well in the freezer. Make sure you make some salsa for yourself

on the side as well.

 

Meatballs:

These are a snap to make and a breeze to freeze. You can get creative by adding additional spices before adding to your pasta.

 

 

 

Shami Kebab:

Perfect for any sandwich, tea party or snack. Just deep-fry and tada!

 

Lasagne:

Make an entire Lasagne dish, freeze it, and cut out and bake a piece for yourself every time you’re hungry! This can easily be done with several pasta dishes.

 

Ravioli:

Make yourself some ravioli in bulk and freeze what you’re not going to eat immediately. These pockets of goodness can even double as a deep-fried cheese square if you fry the pasta instead of boiling it.

 

Samosas:

Another great snack option, and extremely fun to make! Get everyone in your house involved and make all kinds of

samosas to your liking.

 

Chicken Strips:

 

Fulfil your chicken nuggets craving by making some delicious chicken strips that are much better for you than the commercially available foods.

Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Make the dough, and then freeze little cookie dough balls so when you need a few cookies, you can pop them into the oven and have warm fresh cookies anytime.
